Lagos State First Lady, Dr. Mrs. Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu today hosted the Lagos One-Day Governor and Overall Winner of the 21st Edition of the Spelling Bee Competition, Miss Etiyemonu Esther.
Esther, a Student of Lagos State Senior Model College, Igbokuta was received at Lagos House, Marina on behalf of the First Lady by the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Oluremi Hamzat.
The One-Day Governor was accompanied by the One-Day Deputy Governor, Miss Awoyemi Dorcas, Student of Ikosi Senior High School, and the One-Day Secretary to the State Government, Miss. Salami Jumai Olaide, Student of Augus Memorial Senior High School.
Mrs. Hamzat, in her remarks, commended the students for the success attained at the competition, thereby advising them to always strive for excellence in their academic pursuit.
The One-Day Governor initiative is one of the legacies of the former First Lady of the state and now Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu designed to celebrate academic excellence and spur students to be at their best.
